Return & Refund Policy – The Art Kids

We care about how your story arrives.
This policy outlines how we handle returns, refunds, and what happens if something goes wrong with your order.

1. When can I return an item?

We accept returns only in the following cases:

  • The item arrived damaged
  • You received the wrong item

To qualify:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery

  • The item must be unused and in its original packaging

We do not offer exchanges at this time. If you want a different product, please return your eligible item and place a new order separately.

2. Items that cannot be returned

We do not accept returns for:

  • Limited edition items

  • Pre-order items

  • Digital products

  • Items damaged due to misuse or mishandling

  • Returns requested after the 7-day window

  • Orders returned without prior contact

These exceptions are clearly stated on each product page as final sale or non-refundable.

3. How to request a return

Please email support@theartkids.co.uk with:

  • Your order number

  • Reason for return

  • Clear photos (for damaged or incorrect items)

Our team will respond within 2 business days with next steps.

4. Who pays for return shipping?

  • If the issue was caused by us (wrong or faulty item): we’ll cover return shipping.

  • If the return is accepted for any other reason: the customer covers shipping costs.

We recommend using tracked shipping. We are not responsible for returned items lost in transit.

5. Refund process

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of the approval status. If approved:

  • A refund will be issued to your original payment method

  • Please allow 7–14 business days for the refund to appear

Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.

6. What if my item was damaged during shipping?

Sometimes, accidents happen in transit — and we’re here to help.

If your order arrives damaged, email us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos of the damaged item

  • Photos of the shipping box and visible damage (e.g. crushed corners, ripped box)

After reviewing your case:

  • We will offer a refund or replacement (if stock is available)

  • In some cases, we may request that you return the damaged item (return shipping will be covered)

Note: While The Art Kids is not directly responsible for third-party courier handling, we take full responsibility for your customer experience.

7. Cancellations

You can cancel an order only before it has been shipped.
Pre-orders can be cancelled within 24 hours after purchase.
